In February 2018, a group of ACT families gathered to form a Collective for Inclusive Education. As parents committed towards creating inclusive lives for their children with disability, the group aims to make truly inclusive schools a reality in the ACT. The group has identified specific issues that they will start Campaigning towards changing, in order to achieve the goal of a more Inclusive Education System in the ACT.
The goal of the Collective is to see all children growing and learning together at a regular school, where they are socially, academically, and physically included, have a sense of belonging and friendships with their peers.
