Earlier in the Imagining Better series, we talked about the value of crafting a clear Vision of a good life for your family member with disability.
The next step is to put the right support in place to help the Vision unfold. This is the topic of the fourth and final workshop in the Imagining Better series,
“Support” might include using NDIS funding to recruit people who will support your family member’s inclusion, contribution, and belonging.
In this practical workshop, we’ll guide you through how to:
- start with a Vision: A clear and compelling Vision is the foundation for choosing and directing support
- make the most of NDIS funding: We’ll discuss the different funding types (including self-management and plan-management), how to match supports to your family member’s goals, and how to use funding flexibly and creatively
- find the right people: Discover ways to recruit support workers who are aligned with your values and vision
- stay in control: Whether you’re self-managing your supports or not, learn how to always be the leader.
This workshop is ideal for people with disability, their families, and supporters who want to build a life that’s led by Vision, not services.
Whether you’re just starting out or already engaging support staff, you’ll leave with practical tools, fresh ideas, and the confidence to take the next step.
