If your teen is in high school or college or has recently graduated from their formal education/school years, you might be asking yourself some questions right now:

• What’s next?
• What kind of job could suit them?
• Will they ever find meaningful work, build a career and earn a decent wage?

You’re not alone. Many families tell us they feel hopeful but also uncertain. They want to believe their young person can thrive in the world of work but aren’t sure what that path looks like or where to begin.

Over the past decade, we’ve supported dozens of families just like yours to explore pathways to meaningful work. We’ve run webinars, workshops, a conference, peer groups, and mentoring sessions showing the steps families can take to secure meaningful work for their loved ones.

Now, we’re offering opportunities to come and chat with us over a cuppa to find out what the first steps could be for your family member.

Let’s chat about what employment could look like for your family member

Over the past nine years, our School to Work project facilitator Fiona McIntosh has supported families, educators, and employment teams to explore Customised Employment as a creative, practical way to open up real work opportunities.

In May, she’ll be hosting an online drop-in session for families.

Come by for a cuppa, bring your questions, and chat about what might be possible for your young person.

• It’s okay to begin without a clear plan. This is about learning what’s possible, one step at a time.
