About this workshop
With access to an alternative communication method many children can eventually learn to communicate with a wider group of people and a new world is opened up to them.
As a parent of a child with a disability, we can spend many hours doing all sorts of weird and wonderful therapies to try to help our kids improve their skills but progress is often so slow and we get tired and we give up.
But if there is one thing that we need to doggedly pursue, it’s showing them how to communicate using alternative methods. Communication is everything – it’s a human right, not a therapy.
