Paul Kruger (BCom, Grad Dip Ed, MEd (Research and Leadership) is a founding Director of Imagine More and currently works in the organisation part-time as the Finance and Business Manager.
He has experience as a financial controller; farmer; teacher for 13 years; Lecturer of pre-service teachers at University, and; Director and Company Secretary of several organisations. Paul is also a Council Member of the Australian Association of Mathematics and more recently established, with a colleague, an educational professional development organisation with a focus on differentiation and inclusion in mathematics.
Whilst living in NSW and just after the birth of his son, Paul had been supported by an organisation in changing his mindset from ‘what will society provide for my son’ to believing ‘what is possible’ when families are supported to believe a child with disability can have the same aspirations as their siblings. After moving to Canberra and noticing little investment in similar thinking within the ACT, Paul became interested in establishing Imagine More Ltd.
Over the last 20 years Paul has had a variety of experiences in the growth of children in a wide variety of contexts and has become a strong advocate for inclusive education and for individuals with a disability to hold valued roles in the community.
He has a commitment to his community in acting as a volunteer soccer coach in the winter and swimming coach in the summer. Paul’s passions are his family, the Sydney Swans, swimming, and surfing. One day he’d like to be a sailor.
