Imagine More Director, Paul Kruger, will be presenting at our August 2016 Conference.
Paul has lived experiences in the development of children in a wide variety of contexts. He is a strong advocate for inclusive education and for individuals with a disability to hold valued roles in the community.
Paul’s journey in understanding the impact of disability is a long one. Having not really met anyone with a disability before his son Jack was born, he has grown from a framework of ‘what will society provide for my son’ to one where he believes it is up to us to build individual, family and community capacity.
Paul has a bachelor of Commerce, he has worked as a financial controller of a small wool company, as a farmer, and successfully developed a medium-sized agricultural company, acting as managing director and developing a comprehensive irrigation plan for a 10,000 acre property.
In recent years Paul has worked as a school teacher aiming to develop a practical, strong and workable view on inclusive education. Whilst he believes schools are proactive in their approach he advocates further development in attitudes by families, teachers and the wider community can achieve better outcomes for all.
Paul travelled to Canada in 2011 and spent a year there observing and participating in the education system in Alberta. Paul is currently providing leadership in mathematics at a Canberra School.
