Navigating the NDIS system and finding quality support can feel overwhelming. If you’re concerned about how to find the right job mentors or employment support for your child, this webinar will give you practical guidance to ensure your child gets the support they need for customised employment success.

Finding the right support for customised employment is essential to ensuring the success of young people with disability in the workplace. This webinar will guide families through the process of securing quality support using NDIS funding. We’ll explore strategies for preparing strong NDIS applications, finding job mentors, and how to manage these relationships effectively.

We’ll cover:

  • When to engage employment support and how to find it.
  • Tips for navigating the NDIS system and preparing a strong application for employment support.
  • Real-life stories of how job mentors can assist with customised employment.
  • What to look for when hiring a job mentor and the key competencies they need.
  • Practical tips for training, managing, and working with job mentors to ensure success.

This session will provide families with valuable tools and strategies to get the most out of NDIS funding, helping young people find the right support for their customised employment journey.

Who should attend

This webinar has been designed for families of students in or about to start years 7-12. People with disability who have already finished school and their families may also find it useful, but please note that much of the content will focus on topics relevant to students.
