This self-directed, online training package is designed for families of people with disability and Job Supporters who are committed to understanding and implementing Customised Employment with integrity.
Whether you are a professional job supporter, a family member, or someone helping a loved one with a disability find and maintain meaningful work, this course will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to make Customised Employment work.
Who is a Job Supporter?
A Job Supporter helps people with disability find and keep jobs that suit their strengths, interests, and needs. This role may involve various tasks, including identifying job opportunities that align with a person’s interests, planning, engaging with employers, and providing on-the-job support.
Whether the job supporter is referred to as a job coach, mentor, or facilitator, the primary goal of a Job Supporter is to create opportunities for meaningful employment by working closely with the job seeker and their family to ensure workplace success.
