Selina Walker

Selina Walker is a proud Ngunnawal woman and an emerging Elder living on her ancestral Country in Canberra. She is the granddaughter of the late Senior Ngunnawal Elder Aunty Agnes Shea OAM and continues her grandmother’s legacy through cultural leadership, advocacy, and community care.

With more than 15 years’ experience in child protection, youth justice, homelessness, and Aboriginal family support, Selina is a founding member and Chair of Yerrabi Yurwang Child and Family Aboriginal Corporation. Her work focuses on improving outcomes for Aboriginal children in care and supporting strong kinship and cultural connections. She also serves as Co-Chair of the ACT Reconciliation Council and is a member of the ACT Victims of Crime Justice Committee.
