A supportive group of like-minded families recruiting and managing support staff for their family members with disability.
Apply to join the Recruiting and Directing Peer Group in 2026
The Recruiting and Directing Peer Group was established in 2025. We developed it to support families who:
- have (or are building or keen to build) a strong vision of a good life for their family members with disability
- are actively recruiting people to help their family members reach their goals, whether through directly employing, hiring contractors, or via support platforms
- want to share or understand how to navigate the new funding rules
- want to maximise admin efficiency
- want to provide quality mentoring and clear direction to their support staff
- recognise the importance of balancing paid support with freely given relationships
- are interested in learning alongside others as we put the pieces of recruiting and directing staff together, and
- are willing to share their insights and experiences with like-minded families.
Because the NDIS landscape is rapidly evolving, we won’t always have the answers at our fingertips. Sometimes, we’ll be learning together. We’ll also be able to draw on our network of industry experts as needed.

About this Peer Group
Most of our meetings will be conversation-based. You are welcome to contribute as much or as little as you wish. We encourage members to keep their cameras on as this helps create a sense of community.
Depending on the interests of Group members, we may invite guest speakers to join us at some meetings. Please note that we don’t record peer group conversations. The only way to take part is to attend in person.
Dates and times
