Getting started with Customised Employment

The path to employment can be unclear for families of young people with disability. You may wonder where to start and how to find work that aligns with your child’s strengths.

Getting started with customised employment begins by understanding a person’s unique strengths, work interests, and ideal conditions for success. This webinar will guide you through the first steps of the customised employment journey.

We’ll cover:

  • what Customised Employment is and how it differs from traditional employment models
  • how to develop a discovery profile that highlights a person’s skills, interests, and conditions for success
  • identifying work interests, ideal work conditions, and potential contributions
  • practical steps to develop an actionable employment plan, involving your child in the process.

Through real-life stories, interactive exercises, and guidance, this session will equip you with the knowledge and tools needed to begin the customised employment journey.
