September already! Spring in Canberra is such a beautiful time, but Imagine More don’t often have time to sit and smell the daffodils- there has been a lot happening, and even more to come!
Here’s a brief summary of the most recent happenings at Imagine More.
Circles Of Support
It was fantastic to have Jayne Barrett and Katrina Morgan from CLP South Australia to present the concept of Circles of Support – people commented ‘I feel like I can do this, it is not as difficult as I thought it could be’ and ‘I really believe in the end result and now I know where to start’. We are looking forward to supporting families in getting started and running a follow up workshop early next year.
Microboards Canberra
Jan hosted the Microboards Canberra meeting on Friday night. We demonstrated how to continue planning for the future and creating an action plan so families are not doing all the work.
Positive Partners Workshop- September 17
Jan will be presenting at the Positive Partners workshop in Canberra on Wednesday – the target audience is families of school aged children with Autism to discover:
- Support links and opportunities to connect
- Build capacity of participants and community through consolidation of learning
- Develop and strengthen partnerships with schools and within the community
- Plan for sustainability
